Banana Bread

I found a recipe for banana bread it is from Mae(88yrs. old) a lady that is paralized and I took care of in her home. The recipe was passed down to her from her mom. I hope it is like the one you were looking for……

Banana Bread
8 Tbsp butter at room temp.
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup all perpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3 large over ripe bananas mashed
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c shelled walnuts coarsely chopped
  Preheat oven to 350, grease 9×5x3 bread pan. cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift all purpose flour, baking soda and salt together,stir in whole wheat flour and add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Fold in bananas, vanilla, and walnuts. Pour mixture into pan, bake 50 -60 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean- cool in pan 10 minutes then on rack . Makes 1 loaf.
